Sibling Doula Package

Homebirth Sibling Package:
If you're planning a homebirth and would like your older child/children present, a sibling doula is a wonderful service dedicated to caring, nurturing, educating and preparing older siblings for the birth of a new baby and the transition period directly after. Having a support person specifically for them allows them to come and go in your birthspace as they please and answer any questions that crop up for them and allows you to concentrate on your labour knowing they are being well cared for. This package can be tailored to the age and nature of your child/ren.

Hospital Sibling Package:

Are you planning a hospital birth and have an older child/ren with no-one to care for them while you're there? I can assist. While you labour at home I will support your child/ren and when you're ready to head to the hospital, I'll stay at your home with them.

The package includes:
- 3 two hour prenatal visits to get to know the child/children
- recommending and reading appropriate books on birth and particularly homebirth
- watching appropriate birth videos with them and you to prepare them for the sounds and sights of labour and answer questions
- assign appropriate tasks like filling water bottles or cool cloths, camera etc
- being on call for 2 weeks prior til 2 weeks post your EDD
- attendance at your birth, supporting your child/children, organise activities for when they aren't in your birthspace, play with them, feed them, ensure they're hydrated, well rested and comfortable with what's happening and if you need to transfer, stay home with them
- 2 post natal visits for 3 hours in the first week or two after the birth to spend time with the sibling(s) so you can get some rest and to walk them through the transition of a new baby into their life
- packages are also available if you are planning a hospital or birthcentre birth

The Sibling Doula Package can be paid in instalments and full payment is due by week 36 of pregnancy.
Additional fee may apply depending on number of children, books and videos additional.
